From day one, SUNx Malta has taken a position that it will not become enmeshed in the details of measurement of carbon, nor of verification of company or community commitments. There are many excellent organizations inside and outside the sector who have been doing this for many years.
 
Rather we provide visibility for those committing to CFT through our Registry, as well for those actually implementing Climate Action Plans. In addition, we  provide guidance and support in the development of Plans. Last but by no means least, we encourage consumers to review these Plans so they can make their own judgement, as they do with so many other products and programs in the marketplace.
 
Now, as consumers are taking a greater interest in climate response, we are introducing two new Eco Badges to encourage and promote CFT and the organizations who help to drive it.
 
The first is given for commitment to CFT, and provided on initial registration:

The second is given once a Climate Action Plan is filed. It is distinguished by the addition of the SDG ring around the basic CFT badge.

We believe that these eco badges will soon become part of the quality control system that travel companies use to promote their green n clean credentials and that travellers look for when making their bookings.
 
We are especially proud that Malta is the first Country to receive this badge.
