We have initiated some 100 Climate Friendly Travel Chapters, led by local Champions, and overseen by our global chapter coordinators based in Zimbabwe and Kenya.
Chapter leaders are trained to create a local community of Climate Friendly Travel enthusiasts, recruit hotels, lodges, restaurants, tour operators and other tourism players to join the CFT Registry, and act together to develop local clean and green activities. They will also support the Climate Friendly Travel Club for climate conscious travelers, with a unique “earth points” climate loyalty program.One of the most active Chapters is in Uganda with nearly 100 Uganda hospitality stakeholders including small tour operators, local community initiatives & homesteads, as well as 5-star hotels & lodges and importantly the Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA), with its gorilla conservation activities.

Later this year we will be showcasing our new Chapters in Kenya, Zambia and Zimbabwe during. Tourism events in Mombasa and in Victoria Falls.
