On this World Tourism Day, SUNx is delighted to announce expansion of our Education to Action program, placing a special focus on the future leaders of tomorrow—our children. Also, the ones who will have to deal with an inevitably worsening existential climate crisis.

Central to this expansion is the Dodo for Kids initiative, designed to inspire and educate young minds about the importance of climate-friendly travel (CFT)

Dodo 4 Kids, which will be available to tourism companies and schools, is primarily focused on helping support climate Justice the World’s poorest countries and small island states (SIDS)

Taking as a symbol the Dodo the kindly flightless bird from Mauritius, exterminated by thoughtless sailors from Europe centuries ago.

We are developing a series of initiatives to extend the whole Climate Friendly Travel mindset towards school age kids

• Resurfacing 60 Made for TV cartoons with Dodo and environmental challenges
• Travel e- Books for schools & hotels featuring Dodo & local kids - supported by colouring and music.
• Rolling out signature Dodo Study tours to bring solar power and better connectivity to local schools through our partner Global Himalayan Expeditions & local sponsors.

Geoffrey Lipman, President of SUNx Malta, speaking at the Bali Ecotourism World Tourism Day Celebrations  said “ The next generations are where we pin our hopes for a brighter tomorrow – with clean and green tourism at the core and where Climate Justice is baked in. Through the Dodo 4 Kids program, we’re stimulating young minds to become Champions of Climate Friendly Travel from an early age, giving them the tools and knowledge to create the future we want.
