The winning candidates will become Strong Climate Champions for Cambodia. They will become part of our global community and benefit from a range of tools provided by SUNx to help them understand the intersect between the Climate Crisis and Tourism to advance Climate Friendly Travel (CFT) in their region. They will:

Over the past 5 years we have developed a “Plan For Our Kids” - global Training and Lifetime Learning program to create a movement of 100,000 STRONG Climate Champions by 2030 to advance Climate Friendly Travel. Our Champions will help bring Travel & Tourism into the “New Climate Economy”.

SUNx and Code Red

SUNx advocates for a "Code Red Plan for our Kids" through our DASH-2-ZERO strategy focused on Net Carbon by 2030 and Zero GHG by 2050. DASH stands for Declare, Act, Support, Hope and through our activity and the Strong Climate Champions program we plan to provide support to companies and communities around the world, but also hope and motivation to lead the change.

You can join us today and become a Strong Climate Champion in your country to advance Climate Friendly Travel. This role is of particular importance and you will be working closely with our Country Representative, local partners and with fellow Strong Climate Champions. In order to do so, you will need to fulfil a set or requirements: 

✔️ Have an academic background in Travel & Tourism.
✔️ Have completed the Strong Climate Champions Training*. 
✔️ Be active in your community or region by being a member of tourism or student  groups, having your own blog or platform, organising online/offline events, etc.
✔️ Have a passion for Travel & Tourism and be relentlessly hopeful about the sector transformation to Climate Friendly Travel.
✔️ Have public speaking experience or willingness to learn. 
✔️ Have experience self-managing your time and working remotely on your own and as a part of a team. 

• ✔️ Good written and oral level of English - as this would be the primary language in the global community

✔️ Time to spare on a weekly basis to engage with fellow Climate Champions in our global network and to activate Climate Friendly Travel in your community. There is a commitment of a minimum of 2 hours a week - but you can chip in as much as you’d like!

*If you have not yet completed a Strong Climate Champions Training Program, by joining our network today you will be able to sign up to the next training.
