MD Mazharul Islam
Bangladesh
I have been working as an Assistant Director (Research and Planning) at Bangladesh Tourism Board since 2017. I have completed my graduation and post-graduation in Statistics from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. Now I have been pursuing M.A. in Tourism from Maejo University, Thailand and I am also pursuing a qualification in Climate Friendly Travel through SUNx Malta in collaboration with the Institute of Tourism Studies in Malta. My internship is to lead the Bangladesh Chapter. As part of Government Service, I have to travel to the potential tourist destinations of Bangladesh and work with the local community as well as develop Community Based Tourism. At present, I have been working as a desk officer to formulate a Tourism Master Plan for Bangladesh.
